The new sponsor of the Bangladesh Football League is now United Healthcare. After the BFF announced Petronas as the sponsor of the Bangladesh Football League yesterday, the Malaysian state oil and gas company said in a statement that Petronas did not enter into any sponsorship agreement with the Bangladesh Football League. The BFF announced the name of the new sponsor within 24 hours of the controversy.

The country’s top football league started this season without a title sponsor. After two rounds, the third round started yesterday. The day before the start of the game, the BFF announced that they had secured a sponsor for the league and unveiled a new logo. Initially, the BFF was accused of copying the logo. Then Petronas said that they had not been given permission to use their name or brand in the Bangladesh league. And the BFF said that Petronas had said in a statement that they would not be able to participate as the title sponsor this season.
